The quest for sovereignty

There comes a time when the things worth fighting for become the things that need defending.

That time is now.

There has been a collective desire to seek sovereignty–the very thing we once believed to be our birthright, but have found its existence undermined in one way or another.

Sovereignty, above all else, is the cornerstone of what it truly means to be human. Sovereignty is the power we wield without needing to beg, barter, or compromise. It is who we are at its core, and it has been forgotten.

We have been taught to believe that there is never enough, that we should fear our neighbor, and that we are too small to make a difference.

Little by little, we chose to give away sovereignty in exchange for beautiful things, convenient things, and things that make us feel less afraid, less alone, and less in pain.

We bought into convenient lies. We chose easy fixes, rather than complicated cures.

We worship authority and the crowd–not because it is right, but because it’s easy to do and we fear being wrong.

But what if the real narrative was that there was nothing to fear? What if the lie was the existence of fear itself?

What if there was nothing to fear?

What is sovereignty really?

Sovereignty is conscious awareness. It is the power of recognition, observation, and clarity of sight. It is bravery to acknowledge what is in front of us–even if it hurts, and even if it’s ugly.

Sovereignty is the deep memory of ourselves that goes beyond a lifetime. It is the remembrance that we are larger than the limitations of the physical plane.

It is the recognition of our soul.

Sovereignty is the recognition of our soul.

How do we reclaim it?

We do it by unlearning fear, and by giving precedence to our intuition.

Through facing what we fear, we remember what we are. We become empowered, step by step, and find solace in the resonance of our truth.

Through trusting ourselves, we become entrained to the vibrations of our inner core, our sovereign knowing. We become the definition of what it means to be sovereign; we embody what it means to be free.

This may mean temporarily embracing the unknown. It may mean risking being judged, rejected, or alone. But more often than not, it invites the attraction of like minds, sovereign beings who stand for what you also believe in.

The courage to know yourself brings the opportunity to find others who know themselves as well. And that is a gift worth fighting for.
