Where does one begin, but the beginning?

There are many roads to enlightenment.

But regardless of the path, one will soon come across a need for foundational information, whether discovered in texts or collected from experience.

What you’ll find here is a collection of both sources, meant to offer both perspective and knowledge on what could only be considered our core understanding of reality. In fact, truth is a universal language that has been spoken across ages, religions, and cultures.

We pursue this universal thread on the Inner Muse.

The more we familiarize ourselves with the pursuit of truth, the more we’ll find our own destiny, deeply connected with the universal concepts of Life. That is the hope for this journal, and I hope it serves you in your own personal discovery towards enlightenment.

With love,

Stephanie

INNER WISDOM

What it’s like to wake up

by Stephanie Leung

Nothing is like it seems.

Nothing makes any sense.
You start to question everything.
The world may look different,
or maybe it is you that has changed.
You’re not even sure if anything’s happened.
But things just feel different.

What used to excite you,
has lost its luster.
Perhaps it was a defining moment,
or a slow building up over time.

But one thing is true—
Something has changed.
And you’ll never go back.

The Kybalion

Considered to be an essential book of Hermetic philosophy, the Kybalion presents us with seven core principles that stand behind our understanding of the Universe.

SEVEN PRINCIPLES

Expanded writings on the Hermetic Principles

The Universe is a mental construct.

There is truth on all planes.

Reality is a paradox.

No matter the plane, there is a rise and there is a fall.

Nothing is ever removed, but only transformed.

Gender goes beyond biology.

The quest for sovereignty

by Stephanie Leung

There comes a time when the things worth fighting for become the things that need defending.

That time is now.

There has been a collective desire to seek sovereignty–the very thing we once believed to be our birthright, but have found its existence undermined in one way or another.

Sovereignty, above all else, is the cornerstone of what it truly means to be human. Sovereignty is the power we wield without needing to beg, barter, or compromise. It is who we are at its core, and it has been forgotten.

We have been taught to believe that there is never enough, that we should fear our neighbor, and that we are too small to make a difference.

Little by little, we chose to give away sovereignty in exchange for beautiful things, convenient things, and things that make us feel less afraid, less alone, and less in pain.

We bought into convenient lies. We chose easy fixes, rather than complicated cures.

We worship authority and the crowd–not because it is right, but because it’s easy to do and we fear being wrong.

But what if the real narrative was that there was nothing to fear? What if the lie was the existence of fear itself?

INNER WISDOM

What are programs and false beliefs?

by Stephanie Leung

The antidote to false programming is simple.

It is awareness.

Awareness, or self-recognition, is like turning the light on. It floods a dark room with your conscious light.

When you recognize your patterns, you take back control. This doesn’t always mean you can control your patterns, but having awareness means you take back the driver’s seat.

You may not choose the roadblocks that lie ahead of you, but you have the power to navigate through them, and that means everything.
